Yes. I'm not sure which website it is, but I have a friend who watches everything as it airs in the states. Other friends wait a couple days and then download them from torrent sites.
4 :
yes you can access this american yahoo but i don't think you get american google over there, but hey maybe it's changed now ....
5 :
You will have most web site access but some will be blocked. I lived in Shanghai for over a year and I could not access some sites. You also have problem downloading some songs/videos because you are in China. Still its not that bad.

i can access the web site of MTV, and even BET too. but somehow, they may take a little longer than usual. of course, it also depends on your server as well. you can find so much cheap DVD too, so you won't get bored. if you are moving to China, i would take more pants and shirt with you, since the typical Chinese is around size 00- size 4, so you may need to take your favor pants and suit with you. ;) they don't have Express, Banana Republic or J.crew. so, you just have to prepare it. good luck on your moving.

It depends, if you like to view the news no.

i not very sure but i have few frens from shanghai and they say its the most modern compared to other....
2 :
chongqing

Shenzhen located in south of China. It is the biggest economist zone in China. The city is very beautiful! Shanghai is the most international city in China. There are a lot of resraurants from all over the world and terrific view. In my opinion, Beijing is the best city to live in among them. It is the capital of China, as you know, which has a long history. But pay attention to the traffic condition, it is not very good. Have a nice trip! Welcome to Beijing!

Of these three, Shanghai is the most modern, but it is expensive to live in the city itself. When I was there a few months ago, the young people who were taking us around to various places all lived about 45 minutes out of the city because they could not afford to live closer. If you convert the money, things seem cheap, but they are not making 7 or 8 times as much as we are, so things are expensive for them. Sorry, don't know about an American school. Hong Kong would be much more likely to have English and/or American schools, I believe.
5 :
YES. is the simple answer. The most modern is Shanghai. Then Beijing follow by Shenzhen. All 2 cities have schools where they offer american classes like english, sciences.. etc. I have work as a EXPAT in china for 3 years and have lived and traveled to these cities multiple times. I love the difference in food. All 3 cities have different flavors of food. Clubs are great and lots of fun. Lots of site seeing. People are friendly and the services are a delight. Also, you would love the foot massages as they treat you like king and queen but it cost little. I travel by cabs, but public transportation is convenient. Everything is within reach. I have met so many people and enjoy every moment. GL.

lots of gangs
7 :
Most best place to live Shanghai everybody already point out why, enjoy have a nice day

I personally would prefer Beijing. Because it's such an ancient city with soooo much history. And it's also very modern at the same time, without losing its identity. Shanghai is too crowded. And I don't like Shanghai people. I think they are less friendly. But they are very modern. Shenzhen is a new city compare to the other two. It's beautiful, but I'd prefer the other two just because Shenzhen is too new and there's nothing special about it. (except you can visit Hong Kong regularly)

How many Americans live in China

How many Americans live in China?
Which cities or regions contain the most Americans?

1 :
search the population on google
2 :
I believe that the population is around 19,000,000 not many americans live in China but over 900 millions live in canada -Go figure-
3 :
This is a hard number to pin down. Americans are not required to register with the American Embassy so there's no exact count of those living in the country. The following information does not include Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan. In the 2006-7 academic year, the latest for which figures are available, 11,064 Americans studied in China, a large jump from 1995-96, when only 1,396 Americans studied there. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/17/education/17exchange.html This number does not include those who bring their families with them. It only counts the actual students. The number of American teachers in China is unknown. It is probably in the thousands and that number does not include family members. AmCham-China's (American Chamber of Commerce--Beijing) membership comprises more than 2,700 individuals from over 1,200 companies. Once again, this does not include family members, only the individual. This is only for Beijing and Tianjin and does not include every business person/family in Beijing as membership in AmCham is not required. http://www.amchamchina.org/article/1 AmCham Shanghai: 4000 http://www.amcham-shanghai.org/AmChamPortal/MCMS/Presentation/AboutAmCham/Default.aspx?HLLink=Par_link_Amcham&tb_Name=AboutAmcham AmCham South China: number not published AmCham Central China: number not published AmCham West China: number not published The American Embassy in Beijing alone employs 1100 people. The Shanghai and Guangzhou Embassies/Consulates employ approximately half that number: 550. The Consulates in Chengdu and Shenyang employ around 100 each. Once again, this does not include families. (Source: J. Lee, US employee of State Department in Beijing.) The largest expatriate communities are located in the largest cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc. From there, you can go to provincial capitals and find expat communities there. I hope this has helped somewhat, even though it's not a clear number!
4 :
the number isn't stable coz there are many tourists who come and go each month... about several thousands... 6-8,000...
5 :
not many i don't think
