cos the other 10% dont like them!
2 :
Because most of the rest of the country is too mountainous and not practical to live in.
3 :
All of the above plus the fact that their East coast is industry inclined and has access to world trade because of their seaports.

Pre-Mao.
2 :
No Mao. I like the U.S. better. Why do Chinese people literally step on each other trying to come to the U.S.?
3 :
Neither. Chang Kai Shek had to defend the country against foreign enemies from Japan, and domestic enemies like Mao. War is pretty much the reason why the average lifespan was so low. Under Mao, the people starved because of communist inefficiency and government persecution of the well to do and the dissenters. War is hell, but so is communist totalitarianism. Life was much better in Taiwan under the Nationalists because there was peace and prosperity, although true democracy did not come until much later. Taiwanese residents have enjoyed far more freedom and prosperity between 1950 and the present. China may have more billionaires now but the average mainland Chinese is doing far worse than the average Taiwanese.
4 :
Mao. It's a no brainer. The only reason anybody would say anything different is because they are a brainwashed American idiot who "knows" that "Communism failed" and won't listen facts because it might hurt their relationship with mommy, daddy, and Uncle Sam.

Xbox live lag question - US citizen moving to China

Xbox live lag question - US citizen moving to China?
I'm moving to China in October. I play Xbox 360's Call of Duy WaW online regularly and am wondering what the lag will be like in China or how to avoid it. If you live in China and play online with people from the US I'd be very interested in hearing about your experience. Are there ways to avoid the lag?
