I'm assuming by 2.312 you mean two thousand three hundred and twelve, not two dollars and some cents... If that's the case, then you'll be able to live a very comfortable life in China. But then again, it also depends on where you live. Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao and Beijing are bound to be more expensive, while places like Guilin, Chengdu, Lanzhou etc are going to be much cheaper. Check out this website of living costs in Shanghai: http://www.chinawhite.net/archives/2005/12/cost_of_living.html and then compare with these other sites: http://www.justlanded.com/english/China/China-Guide/Money/Currency-and-cost-of-living http://www.overseasemployment.ca/overseas_employment_jobs_costletter.htm http://www.chinateachonline.com/en/CostofLivinginChina.htm

Yes two thousand something dollars is fine. No two dollars will not allow you. You will be starving to death the first week.
3 :
2.312 USD will not last even a day probably. You can try and eliminate the point and at 2,312 USD you will live comfortably.
4 :
that depends on the city and your lifestyle...
5 :
The current exchange rate for the US dollar and the Chinese yuan is 1 USD/6.8335 CNY. (www.xe.com) This makes your 2.312 USD the same as 15.799 CNY. This is barely enough for one day when you consider items that need to be included in daily life. If your number should have been 2,312 USD, then the conversion would be 15,799 CNY. This would be more than adequate to live in China, depending upon the standard of living you maintain. What are monthly needs? • Housing • Food • Clothing • Education • Transportation • School supplies • Household/personal supplies • Entertainment What are the “extras” we need money for? • Retirement • Parental care • Medical expenses • Gifts • Travel / vacations Enjoy!

about 2$ US AND knowledge of working in a sweatshop
2 :
in china , Hong Kong it's expensive , if you go too the south of china you could live on very little dollars $300 a month or so .
3 :
hongkong are much more expensive for living than beijing and shanghai, cuz the house rent is so high. 1000USD more for a small flat (20 square meters around )in the CBD area.and another 1000USD for eating and 1000USD for entertainment. And in shanghai you can have this money for 80 square meters house and go to high grade restaurants and pubs often. Notice,it is a budget for comfortable life. you can live only one 300-400USD in shanghai too.BTW, there are only a few city in china speak english,i think hongkong and shanghai and hangzhou are the most international citys in china. I am native chinese freelancer located at hangzhou and shanghai, if you will to live there and may need some oneday-city guide and dailylife advice. i can take this job, i think it will help you to live more save but comfortable. my contact:raymondpy35@hotmail.com
4 :
To live comfortably in Hong Kong, it will take at least 2000$ a month. Perhaps even slightly more. In other parts of China, such as Beijing or Shanghai it's probably 1500$ a month.
5 :
Living expenses vary between city and city in China. Shanghai and Beijing are among the most expensive cities to live in China. To live comfortably, you would need somewhere around 10,000rmb ($1500 USD), out of which 4000RMB for rent an average apartment, 3000RMB for food and restaurant, rest for trasportation and entertaiment.

better 4 me to learn chinese and live in china? is the culture dramatically different from how we live in USA

better 4 me to learn chinese and live in china? is the culture dramatically different from how we live in USA?
What if I go to live to China??? would it cost me to find a good job there? will the culture have a greater impact on me? I was born in Colombia and I live there for 8 years, is it any different from there in South America? so, could I say the situation in China, and the way of living in China (quality) is better than in Colombia and better than the U.S.A??? ex: in Colombia you have to have a lot of money to be in a good school or go to college...if you go to college in colombia...after you get you degree(s)...you'll never find a job even if you are experienced. So therefore, people look into the U.S.A for better future...therefore, could I look into China as a better future?????

go to china. you can learn the language anywhere but to truly embrace the language and the culture, you must go to the source. there you can engage in Chinese rather than just reading about it books or learning from an instructor. there you can pick up quicker since you'll be using it on a daily basis.
2 :
the culture is drastically different in many places. but many big cities, like Hong Kong, are very similar to the United States. They have starbucks, mcdonalds, etc. but if you want a great impact move to a lesser known city.
3 :
well idk, but i dont think u should go n live in a country dat u know nothing about nor der language! n bside, china has a huge population n lower money value, so i dont think u wanna live der! u might try european, even though der language are also different from english, but der money value is higher! or aim 4 other english-speaking countries.
