You can choose the food that meet your taste. In China, there are Western food,Indian food and Chinese food.

I have lived in Shanghai, China for the last 5 years. While some of the food here is exotic compared to back home, there is nothing that I would categorize as "disgusting". Every culture has its own culinary traditions. What you consider "disgusting" may be very appetizing to the person sitting next to you. The Scotch eat a meal called "haggis". Haggis is a sheep's heart, liver, and lungs made into a slurry pudding and stuffed inside sheep intestines. While that sounds awful, many people find it quite tasty. Nothing in China is more exotic than Scotch haggis.

deer penis turtle pig blood cow tongue nasty but tasty Durian is not so nasty, it's just a stinky but sweet fruit. smelly tofu is also good but only smelly. Dogs are common before, but not now. and fetuses are more likely a hoax. actual foods' link below

I have been in China for two years. I think the food is fantastic. Dog is very tasty, but I hate stinky tofu and bitter melon. I don't really see the point of chickens feet. Strange foods I have seen. Pigs Penis Silk Worms Live baby mice Moon bear bile Sparrow

The worst would be aborted human baby fetus soup from Guangdong province. It's really expensive and I think you can only buy it in Guangdong. I had lamb fetus in a hot pot by accident once and that was horrible, I couldn't imagine a human fetus.

I don't like most of the items from the sea. Sea cucumber Squid Octopus Drunken shrimp It's more about texture for me . . . anything "slimy" isn't going to make it into my mouth. While I've seen the scorpions and other bugs, I've never tried them. My husband has had donkey meat and liked it. We've never been offered cat or dog meat.

same rule as for vertigo -- don't look down... insects are traditionally last in my list coz they are ugly... look like aliens, have no "meat" or "fur" - opposite to what i like in animals... and products with "strong" smell or taste, coz i'm not into extremes, if i can smell it from another room -- it won't lie down well in my stomach... coz i will be able to smell it back from there... however it depends on how hungry i am and what (when) the next meal is...
